Meanwhile Carrie showered and packed everything up. Once we lugged all that downstairs and straped it all the to Jeep, we were once again on our way. About 10 miles down I-80, there were two semis on their sides from the storm overnight. None of us knew it was storming?? Oh well. Continue onto Denver and ran into a bit of traffic. Nothing major but enough to slow us up. Lunch was at Qdoba and onto the mountains. The Jeep handled the hills pretty good. It has a good little engine that is impressing more today than yesterday.
Up through the mountains, we turned off on Hwy 6 near Loveland and took that around rather than running the highway. It turned out to be a great way to get back down to Keystone. Once on top, it was about 55 out and was actually sleeting. A bit cold and windy up there.
Onto Breckenridge, we were able to check into the Grand Timber and hour early. Unpacked the Jeep and then off for food shopping as we have a condo for the week with a full kitchen. From there, Cam wanted to do swimming as usual. He did really well there and did not want to leave. We cooked a quick dinner and put him to bed. Carrie and I relaxed on the couch and watched a bit of TV.
Overall a good day.
